Conceptualizing thematic calendar designs for India’s favorite cola brand
Coca-Cola India’s calendar is an important annual piece of communication from the company. A calendar often becomes a routine thing to be done, but Coca-Cola has always used this opportunity differently. Each year, the calendar is based on a relevant theme.
How we did it
Every year that we worked on Coca-Cola India’s calendars, we wove a narrative and built a theme for them. The 2012 calendar’s theme was sustainability, thereby reinforcing the brand’s commitment to the causes it holds dear. The company felt it was important to communicate its rootedness in India, to be perceived as a loved and admired Indian brand. Taking off on this premise, the 2013 calendar explored how various brands in Coca-Cola’s portfolio connect with India. Through the 2014 Calendar, Coca-Cola wanted to tell the stories of people whose lives have been touched by the brand. The project involved identifying stories and system ambassadors, and doing a photoshoot as part of the project.
